Naw. Some fun kills but hard pass on every other aspect of this movie from me. Probably super fun to make and be a part of, so love that
From Alien abduction to Demonic possessions, Kyle can’t catch a break lol Great actor!! Solid movie with many a twist! Very thought provoking message on parasocial relationships and use of social media!
Overall, this was a well-done movie. Some of the effects skid off the rails a bit, but if you're captured by the plot, you can ignore those. This film rang some bells for Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, from 1987--not in the sense of ripping him off, and it may not have even been intentional, but they hit some of the same psychic pressure points in both films. Faith, religion, stolen ideas, hallucinations, affairs, love, loyalty, pain, death--and above all, the addicting nature of media itself. Are we anyone if we're not seen by others? What do we mean to them? How can we best meet their needs? Parasocial relationships are a hell of a drug, man. But high marks for this one. It's not quite a found-footage film, though it has some aspects, but if you have any interest in exorcisms, real or fake priests, religion, especially Catholic orthodoxy--you should at least give this one a chance.
