The Giant Gila Monster
Directed by Ray Kellogg
Only Hell could breed such an enormous beast. Only God could destroy it! If there's a schlock Hall of Fame, this film deserves its own wing.

Kind of a hotrod flick with a cool soundtrack
I typically love these b movies from the 1950s, but even I found this pretty repetitive and boring. Don Sullivan was fairly likable.
Entertaining and well put together, kind of annoying with the music numbers.
I love the old horror and sci-fi movies of the 50s & 60s. However, this is not one of the better ones. It’s slow and a little too cutesy for my taste. You have the usual teeny boppers saving the day while tugging at your heart strings over a little crippled girl who learns to walk again. The lead teenager Chase is a young Elvis Presley type complete with a new record coming out. The kids are all squeaky clean even though they all drive a hot rod. If you haven’t seen this one before or not in a long while, you might enjoy it. I was a little bit disappointed though.
Love movies like this!
