The Green Inferno

The Green Inferno

Directed by Eli Roth

A group of college students take their humanitarian protest to the Amazon jungle, only to be taken prisoner by the indigenous tribe they came to save. Trapped in a remote tribal village, these naïve, technology- dependent students suffer unspeakable acts as the victims of chilling and soul- destroying rituals reserved for only the most threatening intruders. Fear will eat you alive… Contains strong language, sexual scenes, violence and gore.

Really liked this movie! Good concept and think it’s interesting Eli Roth used a real tribe for this movie who had never seen a film before. They played them a few movies so they understood the nature of what they’d be doing and had a right laugh doing it apparently. Definitely worth a watch!

So the writing and acting is pretty bad all around but if you want a cheap, gory film to watch then it will hit the spot. Slow beginning but once it starts it just keeps going.

Whilst it takes some time to cook, the film completely delivers on the cannibal/tribespeople carnage. One of Eli Roth's best films in years! Very fun, very gory and 10/10 gore factor.
