The Green Inferno
Directed by Eli Roth
A group of college students take their humanitarian protest to the Amazon jungle, only to be taken prisoner by the indigenous tribe they came to save. Trapped in a remote tribal village, these naïve, technology- dependent students suffer unspeakable acts as the victims of chilling and soul- destroying rituals reserved for only the most threatening intruders. Fear will eat you alive… Contains strong language, sexual scenes, violence and gore.

A modern take on a video nasty from the 80's where kids get lost in the jungle and then canalised. I can understand that the first 30 minutes was invested in characterisation bonding but..!, skip this. Not really required. Hey!! It's a movie about cannibalisation, not much background required. Gore scenes were absolutely fantastic which is the only reason to watch this. Nice little time filler.
First half of the movie was a bit slow, but when it picked up i really enjoyed it. Great gore effects, I was crossing my legs cringing at THAT scene.
I felt like I was there, as in this film was torture to watch! Really don’t waste your time!
One of Eli Roth’s best, really good effects and genuinely couldn’t look away!
I caught a glimpse of this movie near its release and I thought it was shit, Now that I have watched it properly tho.. It's not too bad, People say it's a little slow for 45 minutes but no they are wrong. It's just character building for the first half hour to 45 minutes. You learn about each character, Decide who you like & hate and then see what happens with each. The ending twist is very interesting too. Done before but in different ways BUT executed very well.
