Lingers, which is most of what I want from something like this. Changes me in subtle ways.
There are some shocking deaths but, I think the ruthlessness is supposed to confront you with the reality of the deaths of innocent victims throughout history that were exploited in order to further extreme ideologies. I like to think of Jack's house as the symbol of the millions of innocent deaths it takes to fulfil ones own selfish desires.
The best part was those little assholes getting shot
Great start but like lots of Lars’ movie it gets boring and artsy-fartsy.
holy fucking shit. I watched this movie for the first time roughly a year ago and I've not been able to escape it since. there's so many scenes in this that have haunted me - specifically regarding animal cruelty (I'm not gonna be a dick and spoil anything but I would've appreciated a warning before diving into this one. it's my roman empire and I both love and despise this movie. 100/10, and I'm obsessed with the references to Dante's Inferno. worth the watch, though it's definitely a difficult one.
