I love what a small group of talented people can do with no budget in horror. Hard to call a movie this short slow, but it’s definitely creepy rather than scary. I never want movie to be longer, but the mythology and mystery of the story could have used a few more minutes to develop.

After watching this again as it was one of the first I've ever watched on shudder I have a better appreciation for it but it's more for an artsy crowd. I've come to like folk horror more and this movie was trying very hard to create a slow burn with some dull characters within an interesting storyline. Kind of feels like you got all the ingredients but it's not cooking fast enough, ending was good but then it felt a little too late to get a scare out of you . Witches were the best part even though they are subtle.

Very good film. With a brief running time and a limited range of locations and characters, it feels like a short story - but it is good to see films which are doing one thing well, rather than taking a slender idea and trying to inflate it to 90 minutes. Obviously made for pennies but but it is well written, capably directed and filmed. The performances are very good, and the sense of menace and danger gradually builds up to a well crafted climax.
