There are some really good classic giallo films on Shudder, but this is not one of them. The plot moves at a glacial pace and meanders in different directions without seeming to be able to decide where it's going, the characters are unlikeable and there is a twist at the end which feels like it was thrown in as a complete afterthought. Unless you're a massive fan of the classic era of Italian horror this one is not worth your time.
about the most boring, stupid movies I’ve seen in ages 👎
3.5/5
the only horror about this movie was horror-able wigs, toupee's & acting! stinko movie
Sometimes sluggish giallo, mostly set in one location, holds on by the odd bit of weirdness and perversity, and the odd baffling (or just non-sensical) revelation. There's a fair bit of blood and nudity confined to a few scenes, a quasi sci-fi photography element that doesn't amount to much in the end, and a coda I didn't understand at all. This is indeed one mostly for giallo completists. At least it leaves you wondering about some stuff – whether that stuff was flair or incompetence.
