I dug it. Lithgow knows how to do evil. It goes to some dark places, both with the horror in the movie and its view on aging.
It was alright
A fun movie, effective horror, but a lot of the plot revolves around the nursing staff being either comedically incompetent or downright plot blocked until the right time comes for them to show up. It’s an extremely annoying trope.
Fantastic premise executed beautifully. So much of the horror in the story is inherent in the setting and the utter powerlessness that comes with it. The existential fear of growing old combined with the isolation and impotence of losing yourself within a hospice is a grueling thing to watch. And the idea that there is someone nefarious inside these walls with you that is only pretending to be as dementia-riddled as everyone else is utterly horrifying. This movie knew what it was and I genuinely can't think of a single thing it did wrong.
It was okay. Def odd but kinda creepy. Different for sure
