The Shiver of the Vampires
Directed by Jean Rollin
Sexually charged vampires prey on a young couple in this stylish French fright flick which stands with THE GRAPES OF DEATH as one of psychedelic horror director Jean Rollin's best early films. If you know Rollin, you already know what to expect: a young couple trapped in a castle, lesbian vampires, lots of nudity and sex, a killer prog soundtrack and and a mode of storytelling that favors atmospheric art direction over plot or dialogue. But that's part of the fun - and you'll surely be giggling and gagging in equal measure.

Great film. . . . . beautiful scenery, imagery and colour. . . . funny and erudite at times. . . but I find the English subtitles missed a lot of the humour and wittiness of the original French. . . .
vampsploitation at its finest. the costuming and score are immaculate.
Cool.
very fun watch
I enjoyed this movie. Classic Rollins 70's Vampire fare. The beautiul Sandra Julien is a bonus.
