Fun film, lots of annoying sound but worth it to get the experience. I really liked the main character, I felt a lot of empathy for her as I'm sure a lot of viewers did.
My ears hurt now. The ringing noises didn't enhance the movie, they just made me turn down the volume. It was a good story, wish it had been more developed, though. I feel like there could have been an affair story line there, but the writers didn't do enough with that. There were some unnecessary scenes that just took up time and I agree there should have been subtitles for the sign language parts, although there's only one or two scenes that use sign language.
An assault on 2 of the 5 senses.
I don’t mind movies like this , but because there is a whole lotta nothing for a while, the ‘whooshing’ sound was putting me to sleep. Also, I am not to familiar with sign language so I would have appreciated some subtitles in those moments. Quality is good and the acting wasn’t bad, so two skulls.
I loved this! As an audiologist—one that trained in the building depicted as the Eye and Ear Institute in Boston—I’m so happy to say that they did a pretty good job with this. I only think that maybe her speech is a little too good. As far as the movie, I love a slow burn, dread, and ghost stories, so this was right up my alley. I LOVED this.
