Directed by Nick Jongerius
In a desperate attempt to stay one step ahead of the authorities, Jennifer joins a coach-load of tourists embarking on a tour of Holland's world famous windmills. When the bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere, she and the other tourists are forced to seek shelter where, legend has it, a Devil-worshiping miller once ground the bones of locals instead of grain. As members of the group start to disappear, Jennifer learns a shared secret that seems to mark them all for doom.
A girl on the run from her past takes shelter beside a sinister windmill where, legend has it, a Devil-worshiping miller once ground the bones of locals instead of grain.
Cast: Charlotte Beaumont, Bart Klever, Patrick Baladi, Ben Batt, Fiona Hampton, Tanroh Ishida
This movie never really knows if it's a campy splatter fest or if it's trying to tackle serious issues of guilt. It's not awful but it's misguided and the cruel ending seems to make 'guilt is bad, learn to forgive and be remorseful' message fall flat. Gory but not gory enough to be worth watching if you want a splatter fest, just watch Victor Crowley, not smart enough to be a smart horror either.
Generic indeed. Expected more from a 2016 movie.
ah it was alright. nothing new, but I've seen way worse in a similar vein. The subtitles are a problem because several characters speak Japanese or Dutch and the subs helpfully state (speaks in foreign language)... thanks Captain Sub-Obvious
