The Witch Who Came from the Sea

The Witch Who Came from the Sea

Directed by Matt Cimber

A disturbed woman starts to kill her lovers in this bizarre ‘70s horror curio. On the surface, Molly seems normal, splitting her time between work and babysitting. But Molly’s got some dark secrets and one night she snaps on her two lovers. From there, the film spirals out of control in disturbing ways, mirroring Molly’s terrifying descent into madness and murder. Horror historian Stephen Thrower calls WITCH “one of the strangest and most perversely beautiful horror films of the ‘70s”. Contains strong language, violence and gore.

too much shown of her past relationship with her dad i’m thankful less of this sort of thing is shown now a day. yes we are all more than well aware this stuff happens daily in real life. it’s sickening enough thinking about it without it being shown again and again and again. the movie itself wasn’t too bad. could have spent more time murdering and less time with the nauseating back story

I thought this was great. Creep factor you can only catch onto with films of the 70s. This is a trippy psychodrama that oddly manages to tackle serious social issues, including alcoholism/substance abuse, mental illness, and domestic abuse. 5 SKULLS…REEDYBIRD SAYS TAKE A PEEK!
