To All A Goodnight

To All A Goodnight

Directed by David Hess

The Calvin Finishing School for Girls is closed for Christmas vacation. However, Mrs. Jensen (the housemother), five teenage girls and their mischievous male companions are all that remain at the school...or are they? Instead of Santa Claus, they find themselves terrorized by a killer who gives new meaning to the phrase 'To All a Good Night'.

365 days of horror & 25 days of Christmas horror. day 1: fun little early 80's horror, but the twist you see coming pretty easy, and oddly enough a 2nd twist i didn't see. Still no black Christmas though, but interesting to see the guy who played Krug in the last house on the left make a movie.

If you're in the mood for a generic 80's slasher, this will do the trick. The only problem is it's pretty boring. But y'know, it's not awful, just doesn't has much tension.

I love this movie! Believe it or not, it predates Friday the 13th by 4 months becoming the first slasher of the 80s! Granted, I would not say it is better than F13, but still...you cannot help see some of what F13 brought into their movie from this. "They're all dead" being a direct line from this movie to F13...not to mention the end plot! ;) I highly recommend watching this if you're just wanting slasher nostalgia and just slasher fun!
