they really liked their slow boring movies back in the day.
Oh hey… it’s the super long version of the “Last Cup of Sorrow” video. Deducting a skull for the lack of Mike Patton.
This is one of Hitchcock's most critically acclaimed films (Total Film ranked this as the second best film of all time and #9 on the American Film Institute List. ) But then again, this was not always one of Hitch's more popular films. It's kinda "arty". But James Stewart is very good as a police detectiove who thinks he is seeing a woman he thought he saw die. Kim Novak has had her critics, but I think she provides an earthiness that many of Hitch's blondes are lacking. And it is a great way to do sight-seeing of the San Francisco of sixty years ago.
Totally over rated
I forgot how much I end up hating John - but it’s beautifully written and perfectly executed. Alfred Hitchcock was a master of his craft for all the reasons.
