Wake Wood

Wake Wood

Directed by David Keating

A grieving couple are given the chance to resurrect their daughter in this Irish horror film starring Aidan Gillen of “Game of Thrones” fame. After Alice’s accidental death, her parents move to a quaint village to make a fresh start. But when a local offers to perform a ceremony that will temporarily bring their daughter back, they can’t resist. But when Alice returns, she isn’t quite herself, of course. One of the best offerings from the new Hammer Films, this supernatural scarefest should please fans of THE WICKER MAN, DON’T LOOK NOW and VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED.

A grieving couple are given an opportunity to resurrect their daughter for three days.

Cast: Timothy Spall, Aiden Gillen, Eva Birthistle

I don’t know what is happening but none of my movies will come up! System says it cannot load! This is very aggravating and if it is not fixed soon, I will have to cancel my subscription!

European movies seem to have better cinematography. I enjoyed this movie, not every horror movie is about skin and gore. I think the story was a good one, the acting was good, and the scenery was great. I enjoyed it overall, and think that you will like it too. It is slow-paced, there is a story to be told. If you are expecting hack and slash, maybe you will be like the 1 Skull people, but if you enjoy a good yarn, watch it.

Can we talk about the decision the parents made to let their young child walk to school alone carrying a hamster in a large cage? It starts there and the implausible decision-making continues.
