WNUF Halloween Special
Directed by Chris LaMartina
In 1987, a TV news team tried to contact spirits in a haunted house. But something went wrong. Three decades later, the recording of this spooky special has finally surfaced and viewers can now see what really went on that fateful night - complete with commercials! Think GRINDHOUSE meets PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and you’ll know what to expect from this hilarious parody of found footage horror. Anyone who watched ‘80s TV is sure to laugh at the scarily accurate fake ads for video rental stores (remember those?), psychic hotlines and Satanic panic books. Watch if you dare...

Too much 80’s TV nostalgia, and not enough of anything really. If you’re looking for a good scare, this movie isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a pointless walk down memory lane with too many commercials, then this movie is for you.
A unique take on "found footage" in a way. if not taken seriously is very enjoyable, especially with chattier company.
If you're at least 30 years old, you'll love this! The commercials were honestly my favorite part. Highly impressive filmmaking. The Ed and Lorraine characters had me cracking up. I'd love more movies like this.
Man these guys really commit to the bit. It must have taken an insane amount of research, writing, and b-roll to pull off all the network ephemera and commercials. And they really nail it — every commercial and segment was spot on. The downside is that the film sacrifices a lot of its watchability to achieve this level of authenticity. It’s definitely a good parody of that style of TV and of found footage films in general, but anyone who didn’t live through live, local TV will likely not appreciate this, as it’s somewhat daunting to sit through all the commercials (clever as they are). Also, poor Connor. We hardly knew you.
People rate movies off of bizarre aspects now. Yes, this feels nostalgic but so would going to the dentist while listening to Kenny G music. That doesn't mean I would enjoy going through it though. This movie is tedious AF. It is mostly commercials with the actual story being the filler. That should be reverse. I gave up after 20 minutes. If you love this then you don't respect your time enough yet.
