Definitely a slow burn and probably needed a tiny bit of its run-time shaved, but solid in the end and worthy of being included in the upper tier of holiday horror films.
I liked it. Mostly because of the ending. It's hard to tell where it's going at first. Will probably be boring for some since it doesn't pay off til the end.
3. 5/5 Solid little film that's more uncomfortable family drama than horror (but does that well). It's a slow and deliberate build that may not be for everyone, as it's finale isn't particularly explosive or revolutionary and might not be seen as worth the time. But it tied up nicely and I found it pretty satisfying overall. I enjoyed it well enough beginning to end, even if some of the main character's decisions felt silly at times. (Girl go feed your baby! Why are you carrying that bottle everywhere?! Now it's cold! Also how long are you gonna waffle on leaving?!) Worth at least a watch, IMO. Side note: There's a couple places that are missing Spanish subtitles. Don't worry though, you're not really missing anything.
A bit predictable, but still a good watch! :)
Really enjoyed this movie. Although it was familiar seeming, I couldn’t quite predict where it was going and what would happen next, and the ending was also quite satisfying. Totally fun little flick.
