The tone throughout was amazing but it became less of a movie and more of a collection of scenes that don't make sense. It's more of a film school project designed to impress the teachers.
Great acting. Intense and worth the watch. Enjoy.
I haven't been as bored since I got dragged along to a French Film festival, which also involved a lot of static shooting angles. You pretty much know where this one is headed sometime in the first act, and then have to endure the movie to have your thoughts confirmed. One of those movies people mistake as art in horror, and think they are better than the rest of us by giving it a good rating or seeing things that were never actually in the movie. Feel like I need a fast slasher or something, or at least a coffee to wake up.
If you enjoy the work of Edgar Allen Poe, a stage play in an intimate theatre or the idea that hell may be nothing more than an eternal mundane, you will love this film.
Great watch with a slow burning dread throughout.
