Zombie Holocaust
Directed by Marino Girolami (as Frank Martin)
It sparked riots on 42nd Street, spawned a generation of gorehounds on VHS, and forever set a standard for Italian mad doctor/zombie/cannibal carnage worldwide: Ian McCulloch (ZOMBIE), Alexandra Delli Colli (THE NEW YORK RIPPER), Sherry Buchanan (TENTACLES) and Donald O’Brien (EMANUELLE AND THE LAST CANNIBALS) star in this blood orgy of gut-munching, eyeball-gouging and face-chopping also known as DOCTOR BUTCHER, M.D., which a notorious American distributor would then re-edit, re-title and re-release as a certified grindhouse masterpiece.
A group on an expedition in the jungle encounter an evil scientist and his army of zombies.
Cast: Ian McCulloch, Alexandra Delli Colli, Sherry Buchanan

A good stoner movie, laughed all the way through. Ha ha the eighties I was still in High School. 😆
A mediocre example of the already typicslly unpleasent and racist "cannibal" sub-genre. Zombie Holocaust's only saving grace is a third act that goes for broke and gets your attention purely for its absurdities. While the third act is a pleasent ride, it's not enough to say this movie is a must see by any means.
Is it twisted of me to say that that was the best laugh I've had all week?
No holocaust...few zombies, mostly cannibals (that's fine if I was expecting cannibals)...blatant racist overtones...The best part of this movie was the soundtrack and a few of the death scenes.
