Bro, what? The next episode better be better than the first one.
Artsy. Black and white. Low budget. Short on scares and effects. But still I liked it and look forward to the next episode.
Not bad. Has a low-budget feel, almost like a highschool production (I say this with no intention to slander it). Nice twist. Some of the acting could have been better and the lanterns that were clearly not flame but some sort of light, were a distraction.
A poor beginning. The script’s basic idea was fine, but every point made was far too on the nose. It could have used a lot more subtlety. Less dialogue, more atmosphere over all would be best, but I suppose the characters constant (weakly acted) jabbering did distract from the meager production values. And the brief use of color at the end was exceedingly corny. The proper BBC Ghost Stories for Christmas are considerably better value.
It is amusing. I'm looking forward to the prequel that explains how the technology of horse and cart were lost. . .
