The Strain is a high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the CDC Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph and his team wage war for the fate of humanity itself.

Starts off strong, then gets REALLY stupid. Like, forehead-slapping stupid. I couldn't even finish it.
There's no denying the importance of The Walking Dead in establishing continuing stories as a form for television horror, but this kind of story is much more to my liking.
I lost interest in The Walking Dead right at the beginning of season 2. Im around the same point in The Strain, and it's starting to pick up for me. Anything that Shudder can get from Guillermo Del Toro, I want to see it.
awesome scary tv series that i watched today with a lot of suspense! 👍
pretty pretty good. great cast, solid story that remains consistant for the most part throughout the whole run. visually very interesting. i think i'm going to read the books now because i needs me a little more.
