Feels more akin to Mama, as a fantasy horror-- something Del Toro or Neil Gaiman would write. but it's a super lovely movie, while still remaining creepy. Also i love Thomas Jane, and Jacob Trembley is one of the rare (former) child actors that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out
Not super scary but really lovely story! I admit I may have cried lol
a couple logistical things but man.... mindy Flanagan does it again...a beautiful, poignant movie that's an allegory for grief and hope. beautiful
Very imaginitive and impressive visually. I agrre with the director when he says its not necessarily a horror movie, though still a fantastic story with eerie visuals through and through. not a perfect movie but it comes close!!
