This seminal thriller by legendary Italian filmmaker, Mario Bava, became the blueprint for giallo cinema with its visually arresting colour scheme, set piece murders and convoluted plot. A great influence on fellow Italian director, Dario Argento, BLOOD AND BLACK LACE went on to shape Italian horror, as well as the slasher film of the 1980s. Contains violence and gore.

A chilling and stylish Giallo murder mystery that adeptly weaves an omnipresent web of suspicion over it's whole cast. The beauty of it's scenery and shot composition contrast sharply and effectively with the brutality of it's subject matter. The plot may be a touch convoluted, but the melodrama somehow seems to be essential the film's marvelously consistent feeling.

Classic, genre-defining Giallo. Amazing score, great use of large sets, and a good use of the signature simplicity of the killer.
Amazing! Great old school 60s slasher movie. Done by a great Italian director. If you haven’t seen it. . it’s a great watch! As well as his other movie he did called “Black Sunday”
