Not the worst . . . I liked a few things about this film. The characters felt original and real, the body horror was great. However, it really was unclear as to why and how things played out the way they did? The world seemed to have no internal logic (not in a good way) and that broke my brain a little bit. There seemed to be a "don't waste your life" message but it wasn't really driven home or supported by a strong metaphor.

Existenz + Under the Skin - any depth = this. Silly thing this is.

I think this movie thinks it is a lot smarter than it is. Our lead actress is annoyingly charming, and really gives off manic pixie dream girl vibes. Take that as you will. Our main actor however isn’t really dynamic or interesting enough to be likable. The story is paper thin and doesn’t bother to make much sense or explain itself. They did do some cool things visually, and made the most out of some decent practical effects.
